Earlier this week I covered all of the clothes that were worn at Coachella, but we all know that it’s the accessories that really make the outfit. So before you’re sent out to the desert for Coachella Weekend Number Two (or maybe just out into the streets of your hood this summer), welcome to part duex.
The Wide Brim Hat
Festival goers swapped their flower crowns for wide brim hats this year to keep the hot desert sun at bay.
You, too, can keep those rays at bay with Yellow 108’s Benny Fedora, Cuyana’s Felted Wool Hat, The Cole Felt Hat from Vaute, Nosotros Vaqero or the Traditional Fedora from Equal Uprise.
Ankle Boots
From platform, to western, to lace up, ankle boots were the name of the game for the ladies of Coachella.
Get your ankle boot on in the Brother Vellies Kaya Boot in Flamingo, Nicora’s Wynonna Studded Ankle Boot, Beyond Skin’s Metal Grey Frida Boots, the ZouXou Block-Heeled Boot in Black Embossed Snake, Everlane’s Suede Heel Boot, or the R.M. Williams Millicent Boot.
Sneakers
Beyond ankle boots sneakers were the go-to chic option for sporty and boho looks alike.
To keep your feet happy on those long festival days in Etiko’s Organic Fairtrade Sneakers Hi tops Black & White, Ethletica’s Fair Trainer White Cap Lo Cut in Light Clay, Veja’s Esplar Silver Leather Sneaker from Accompany, Nae Vegan’s Milan Micro or Veja’s Esplar Silver Leather Sneaker from Accompany
The Sandals
And, of course, strappy sandals and gladiators made an appearance as the long standing festival go-to.
You, too, can get the look in Sseko Designs’ Black Leather Wrap Sandal, Nisolo’s Serena Sandal, the Meyelo Penda Beaded Leather Sandal from Accompany, the Onika Wrap Sandal from Enrou, or Bhava Studios’ Carmen Lace-Up Sandal.
The Sunglasses
Eyewear shape of choice ranged from round, to cateye, to aviators and lenses came in every color under the sun.
Protect your eyes from those desert rays in the Dharma Radiance Shade in Desert Rose, Sustainable Facewear O-Face Skateboard Wood Sunglasses in Pink Mirror, Finlay & Co’s Draycott Sunglasses in Tortoise from Gather & See, the Blue Planet Wright Sunglasses or DIFF Charitable Eyewear Rose – Two Tone – Gold Mirror Polarized Lens.
The Bags
Festival goers chose the traditional crossbodies and backpacks to carry all their festival garb, but also stuck in a few updated fanny packs for a hands-free carry-all option.
To store all your festival goodies try the Tribe Alive Roundie Saddle Bag, the Yami Backpack in Slate from Raven & Lily, Fashionable’s Mini Tigist Cross Body, Sseko Designs’ Saddle Crossbody Bag or the Pocket Bum Bag bye Hipsters for Sisters.
The Scarf
And because a scarf is always a good accessory in the desert — can be worn as a hair accessory, around your neck or used to block the sand during those pesky sandstorms, I’m throwing some in for good measure. Check out the DTSLD Cotton Paisley Bandana In Black, Cuyana’s Silk Striped Scarf or one of Peace Treaty’s Silk Bandana’s from Accompany to round out your festival outfit.
What are some of your go-to festival accessories?
I simply want to mention I’m new to blogging and certainly enjoyed your blog. Probably I’m going to bookmark your blog . You amazingly come with perfect well written articles. Thanks a lot for sharing your blog site.
